Once you’ve booked us to cater for your big day you will probably be wondering when you will get to come to LZ HQ for the fun bit – trying the food. We’ve created a handy guide to explain when your tasting will be held and everything you should expect.
When will my tasting be held?
We hold all our tastings in our quieter months – January & February, the year of your wedding date. We will be in touch prior to this so keep an eye out in your inbox as tasting slots are allocated on a first come first serve basis and book up quickly.
How many dishes can I try?
You may pick any four dishes from our menu, this includes dishes from our sharing board menu as well. We recommend trying one starter, two main courses and one dessert – however the choice is entirely up to you. Our chef will also prepare a selection of canapés for you to enjoy. Extra dishes can be chosen at an additional cost.
How big are the portion sizes?
We serve full portion sizes at our tastings, so you know exactly what to expect on the big day. Remember to bring your appetite.
How long will my tasting last?
Tastings are approximately 45 minutes long. This allows enough time for you to try your food, chat through your day in detail and ask our team any questions you may have. Whilst we sit with you for most of your tasting, we will leave you to enjoy your main course alone, giving you time to talk through your thoughts on the food in private.
Can I bring family members/friends?
From experience we find couples enjoy their tastings more when it’s just the two of you. Should you wish to bring a maximum of two additional guests, we will be able to accommodate this at an additional charge.
How can I get the Lemon Zest and where can I park?
Tastings are held at our kitchen in Brackley, NN13 7EU. Pop the post code into your Sat Nav and hopefully it will guide you straight to us. We are Unit 15 and parking is available right outside.
